As an opiate, the poppy flower is symbolic of sleeping and dreams.
Stringing dry poppy pods on sinew, I suspended them from driftwood pivoting on a central point creating a two-tiered mobile.  Hung from the ceiling, this piece inspires a quieting of the mind and movement into the dream realm.
