Fracture.

Bones break.
chestnut leaf stems, corn husk, orange lichen, driftwood, sinew

Lamenting a lost lover, I built a loom on a piece of driftwood collected on the Oregon coast.  Within the loom, I wove the remains of a chestnut tree’s leaves, corn husks and orange lichen collected on our journey together, giving form to a life that was not ours to keep.  This weaving is a meditation on the seasons of change in nature as a reflection of the seasons of the mind and emotions.
